Potato flakes
Depending on the field of application, a wide range of potato flakes are available. These are characterised by high water absorption, solubility in cold water and a light consistency in the end product. In the food industry, potato flakes are used in the production of instant mashed potato, gnocchi, snacks, frozen products and baby food and as a thickener in instant soups and sauces.
Potato granules
Unlike potato flakes, potato granules have a higher density and are less able to absorb water. Unlike potato flakes, potato granules are soluble in hot water. Products produced with potato granules are characterised by their firmer consistency when prepared. Potato granules are above all a base for snack products, frozen products and baked goods.
